For our Victoria Challenge, our class made a picture of the old Victoria School building using mini Hama beads. The task was very challenging and the class had to work together to complete it. This helped our class to bond and I feel that I now know my classmates better.
The best thing that happened was the completion of the picture. This helped me see what we can achieve when working together. The worst thing that happened was when we had to redo our piece if it was disrupted somehow.
However, this taught me not to give up even if the task seems impossible. I feel that I will stay in the community as I feel that it will be a great experience for me. \

After the Victoria Challenge, I realize that it is important to work as a team and its takes the group effort to complete the challenge. Furthermore, I understand the importance of co-operation and learnt to communicate with others. I also understand it is important to keep a positive heart and never give up easily.
The worst part is also the best part of my Victoria Challenge. It is the amount of work to be done. Even though the work is tiring, but we still persevere and strive to work our best.
Yes, I will stay involved in the community as I must keep giving back to the society to show my appreciation.

The service-learning project has taught me the importance of giving back to the community. During the service-learning project, I have learnt that we can only achieve our goal through hard work. After baking for the whole of the afternoon, we managed to complete our task and reach our aim of 450 cupcakes.
I hope to continue contributing to the community in my adult years, as I feel satisfied when I have done something meaningful for someone in need. The service-learning project has inspired me to work hard and pay back to the community.

The Victoria Challenge, which involved making a picture using 2.5mm in diameter beads, improved my way of thinking by making me more attentive to little details. It also made me a more patient person. When I do things now, I do not lose my temper easily.
Obviously the best thing that happened was the completion of the project but the worst thing that happened was when I accidentally knocked over a half-completed work done by my friend. I felt bad but I decided to make it up by finishing that work myself. This improved my awareness of the space around me.
I think that I will stay involved in community service in my JC years as I like challenges and wish to accomplish more in my life.

For the service learning, my class made cupcakes that came with 2 different toppings, Oreo toppings and marshmallow toppings, which cost 3 dollars per cupcake and 5 dollars for 2 cupcakes. It was a very interesting experience where I was given the opportunity to assist my fellow classmates in baking the cupcakes.
Though it was a messy experience, I learnt the true meaning of perseverance as baking really took a toll on me and at the end of the day, I was so tired that I immediately slept when I reached home. I learnt to respect my fellow classmates who took it upon themselves to stay back until evening to finish up all 450 orders of cupcakes.
I believe that I would stay committed to community involvement as the feeling of teamwork with my fellow friends and helping out in a big involvement especially making 450 cupcakes for customers, is a great feeling.

Through the Victoria Challenge, I learnt that patience and perseverance is the key to success. Though we faced difficulties like restarting our work on our masterpiece and accidental destructions of the masterpiece, it helped me to realised how essential tolerance is in the society.
In future years, it will help me become a less ill-tempered person who is more sociable and constantly involved in the society.
