Cupcakes. Everybody knows what are he or she and can easily learn how to bake cupcakes. But do they realize the effort of each individual baker? How much love and tender care these bakers put in to create such magnificent and heart-melting cupcakes? This is our service learning. Baking cupcakes and selling them to make a donation.
When I saw this picture, I regretted not being able to help out. Everybody here was busy making the packaging for the cupcakes while I was at another place learning. I didn't even spared a thought for my classmates who were there doing all the work. Service learning has helped me realized that we need everybody to work hand in hand and we must treat each other with care till the very end. If I had one word to summarize service learning, it will be Brotherhood.
As I was unable to attend service learning on both days, I am unable to clearly state what was the best and worst things that happened to me during service learning. But one ting I know for sure is that the worst thing that happened to me after service learning is that I should be there for my friends even when they do not need help.
I hope to see myself helping out in the future as a humble man. I do not wish to take pride in what I do and boast about it. It is all about teamwork and I hope that the workload I do can inspire people to do the equal amount of workload as me. This way, everybody enjoys and there is no one taking advantage of another.
By helping out in the future, you learn more about people and even know a thing or two in dealing major obstacles. Learning is forever and helping others should be a need to people, not a privilege.
