For our Service Learning Project, my class had decided to bake and sell cupcakes. I was assigned to the group for creating the packages for the cupcakes the rest of the class was baking. The project has changed my way of thinking, such that I have realized the importance of teamwork when packing cupcakes. I also saw many of my classmates staying back much later to finish the baking and packaging. Their determination has inspired me to be more willing to sacrifice for the good of everyone else.
To me, the best part of the project must have been when I saw the finished cupcakes. They looked very savoury and we were sure that others would be obliged to buy them. Seeing the fruits of our labour as a class was very satisfactory and made me realize that good things come to those who work for them, like our school motto, Nil Sine Labore.
If given the opportunity, I would like to participate in more activities such as this in future, as the lessons obtained from such activities will be able to help me later in life and make a better person as a whole.
