3F Donald Ong (7)

The Victoria Challenge was a rather interesting experience. Our class had decided to make a painting of the old school building...with beads. I was, should I say unfortunately, excused from this arduous task as I, along with a fellow Infocomm club member, was tasked to film and photograph the entire challenge for the 135th anniversary video and future archives. So it began in the morning, where we were briefed by Mr Hakim. Knowing we had a long day ahead, we devised a challenge of our own. That is to take 1350 photos! Sounds unthinkable? Well, being the trigger, or shutter in this case, happy snappers we were, we quickly got to the 500 mark even before noon, and by evening we had over a thousand. At around seven, disaster struck...we had ran out of battery. Thankfully we had our chargers with us and after a hasty charge, we were back in action.

After filming the various projects by all the classes from all four levels, we had realised how strong the bonds of Victorians were, our perseverance and determination to complete the task at hand. This experience also allowed me to learn more about my friends and understand them better. We had learnt the importance of perseverance and determination and by the next morning, viola, we had reached our target of 1350 photos. In Addition I had over 135 minutes of video footage recorded on my trusty Sony.

All in all, it was an unforgettable experienced and had certainly taught us the importance of hardwork and determination.
